A clear, honest statement of what LicenceOS is — and what it isn't.
Not affiliated with the DVSA
LicenceOS is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the DVA (Northern Ireland), or any government body. The official theory test is booked through GOV.UK.
Original educational content
Our questions, lessons, road sign illustrations and illustrated hazard-training scenes are original educational material based on publicly available Highway Code concepts. They are written to teach understanding — they are not copies of official test questions, and the official test will word things differently.
Licensed hazard-perception footage
The video clips used in our Hazard Perception practice are licensed from TheoryPass and used under licence. The scoring, timing windows and coaching we build around them are our own. They are not the official DVSA hazard perception clips.
No guaranteed pass
Our pass-readiness score is an honest estimate built from your practice — it is not a prediction or a promise. Passing depends on you, the day, and the official test itself. Treat LicenceOS as a coach, not a crystal ball.
Not driving instruction
LicenceOS prepares you for the theory test. It is not a substitute for professional practical driving instruction or for reading the Highway Code itself, which remains the authoritative source.
